I am new at this, so I want to know that besides turning the handle to change the water temperature, is there any way to change the water pressure also? Now, seems I cannot change the water pressure, so we wasted water, especially hot water. You know, even you just a bit of hot water, the cold water will have to go maximum.
I have an old-fashioned clawfoot bathtub. Usually, the water pressure and temp is fine, but lately, the hot water pressure is a bit low (in the tub only; the kitchen and bathroom sink pressure is fine. Cold water bathtub pressure is fine as well) and there is this terrible, high-pitched squealing noise whenever I turn on the bathtub faucets. It just started two days ago. Any suggestions on what it is and how I might fix it? I’d love to remodel the bathroom, but I rent. Thanks a bunch!
We just replaced the hot water heater and now there is hardly any hot water pressure in the bathtub the cold water seems to be just fine and everywhere else in the house is fine as well. what can i do to fix this?
It is a seperate hot and cold handles
We had a semi-major plumbing issue that we had to have our water turned off to our house for over 24 hours. Well when we turned the water back on we had a lot of sand come through the faucets. And in our son’s bathroom the bathtub won’t stop running. It’s not a drip its a constant flow. And in other parts of our house the water pressure is low? Our plumbing issue was out in front of our house. A pipe came loose under our driveway. Help please!!
My bathroom shower/tub water faucet does not get any hot water? I can get hot water to both my sinks in the bathroom but my shower runs only cold, so I don’t think it is a water heater issue. I am able to get very hot water in all the other bathrooms and sinks in the house. When I turn the faucet knob all the way to hot the faucet will actually begin to run the water slower until it finally shuts off. My faucet know shuts off on the cold side only normally and when you turn towards hot water the stronger the water pressure it gets. But now it is only get good pressure at the in between point on the faucet and when it turns to the hot side it shuts off and I get no hot water what so ever? Why is this happening? And how can I fix it? Thanks for any help
I have decent water pressure in my bathroom but very little of it comes from the hot water side. For instance, I can turn the handle only 3 times for hot water and it’s all the way on but I can turn it 6-7 times for the cold side. I like really hot showers and my temp is turned up as far as I feel it’s safe on the hot water tank. Is there a way to raise the pressure from the hot water side?
What would cause low pressure in the bathtub faucet and shower head when both the bathroom and kitchen sinks have good water pressure? And how would I fix it? The plumbing in house is just a year old.
TIA
We had to change the element because it we had no hot water. We shut the power off to it and drained out the water heater. Once we turned it back on, everything was working fine….besides the tub. When turned on cold, the tub has full water pressure. But once we turn it 3/4 or all the way for hot water, the water just dribbles out without ever getting hot. The sink in the bathroom works fine and has full pressure. The sink and the tub use the same lines. Where the pipe meets the tub faucet or goes up through the basement, its hot. The other bathroom tub and everything else throughout the house works fine. Any ideas? Our house is about 12 years old.
We have a shower that we don’t use very often, but we need to use it this weekend and noticed that when we turn it on, the water pressure isn’t that good, and when I turn the lever all the way to "hot", the water shuts off. No available plumbers this week, so anyone know how to fix this?
