I am starting to feel hopeless………our house was built in 72. I have tried to fix a leak in my hot water bathtub faucet, replaced washers, some recommended checking the seat when it still leaked. it is gouged and cracked it looks like. I have the tool to get it out but it nor the cold will budge, and I’ve had MEN try and try. What can I do? Am I going to have to replace the whole piping back there also? if any one has any tricks to get this baby out I would kiss your feet. Also, even if I get it out, I bought new faucet handles…….I have a sneaking suspicion its not going to fit for ALL the parts look much larger than what I took out. The part where the seat is, is it possible that the general size in 72 is different than the general size today? And if so then what?? Any idea what it MIGHT cost to have plumber fix? I can solder……..but that is a LOT of joints to replace all that back there. Again……feelin real helpless and too much longer I’ll be stinky!

this might be a dumb question, and it might be not true, but…
I was wondering if you masturbate under the bathtub faucet (I’m a girl btw), is it possible to get pregnant from that?
Because the water is entering your thing? And how clean is the water? It shouldn’t have any sperm or bacteria because of chlorine right?
So is it possible or no? (I think no, but I’m not sure how clean the water is…)
Help?

I want to update my bathtub faucet and hot/cold knobs to something prettier. They work fine, they are just not attractive.
Is this an easy thing for a plumber to do? Or will the plumber have to bash a hole in my wall to get to the pipes? Is this something we could do ourselves?

My cat has Zinc poisoning and we are trying to figure out where the source is, He did not eat a penny, the only thing different he does is leaking the bathtub faucet after we shower. This model was installed in the 80’s or early 90’s. thanks for any thoughts.

My bathtub faucet was dripping, so I opened up the handle. The stem was really old, so I went ahead and replaced the whole stem. Now when I turn the knob, it turns really fast. there’s no resistance to it. Is this normal? If not how do I tighten it.
It’s not the knob wobbling, it’s with the amount of force needed to turn the knob. It just needs a light turn, If this is normal, then I’ll leave it. But the old stem usually needed some force to turn it.

What would cause low pressure in the bathtub faucet and shower head when both the bathroom and kitchen sinks have good water pressure? And how would I fix it? The plumbing in house is just a year old.
TIA

When I turn the tap, the water from the bathtub faucet flows which is expected. Then when I pull the tap so the water switches and flows through the shower head instead, there’s still ALOT of water flowing from the bathtub faucet which is a total waste. I want all the water flowing through the shower head, not at both faucets at the same time. Can someone help me out? Thank you.
