I just twisted off the kind that needs to be pulled off. It left the remaining inner plastic parts which is what I wanted because the freaking metal is freaking cheap and corroded to hell fast! These now cost $17 everywhere, total rip off for something that corrodes at the seal so it leaks under pressure. I just put a 75 cent cap on it and the price of that also has quadrupled since 1999. Your other option is a nickel metal one for $89. Wasting water what a joke it’s not worth it either
